A savory, cheesy topping – great to sprinkle on pasta, pizzas, Mexican food, and just about anything else!

½ cup raw walnut pieces

¼ cup nutritional yeast

¼ tsp. onion powder

pinch of salt

1 – 2 Tbsp. ground flaxseed (optional)

1/8 tsp. chipotle pepper powder (for a spicy topping – optional)

1.         Combine all ingredients in food processor or coffee bean grinder and process until nuts are finely ground and ingredients well mixed.

2.         Store in refrigerator; topping will keep for several weeks.

Variation – Instead of walnuts, use another raw nut (almonds, cashews,   etc.) or a mix of raw nuts.
