Tortilla Chips


1 package stone ground corn tortillas (no added oil variety)

1.         Preheat oven to 300 degrees.*

2.         Using kitchen scissors or a sharp knife, stack a few tortillas and cut into halves, quarters and then eighths.

3.         Lay tortilla triangles in a single layer on a baking sheet and place on rack in center of oven.

4.         Bake, checking occasionally, until chips are fully crisp (about 10-15 minutes).

*Tortilla chips can be made in a hotter oven, up to about 400 degrees, for a shorter baking time but should be checked very frequently to ensure that they do not brown or burn.
